How long have you been in business?
InterProm USA was established in 1997. InterProm was originally a Dutch company which started in 1992. It has been this long that we have been helping customers benefiting from ITIL and IT Service Management best practices.
What is your primary product or service?
Our core services are ITIL consulting and certification training. This has expanded into ITIL and ISO 20000 Assessments, Coaching and Mentoring and Implementation Roadmap Development.
How did you first become interested in your line of business? (if owner) - What is your background? (If owner or store manager)
Early on in my career I actually was part of a team, building IT service management software. We didn’t call it service management, ITIL or CMDB back then, but in essence it did the same things today’s service management software does, such as BMC Remedy or HP Service Center, now HP Service Manager. Throughout my career the management of IT took a central stage. In the early 90s when ITIL gained popularity in the Netherlands I decided to combine the best practices of this structured non-proprietary framework with my background and start helping customers benefiting from it. Initially, these were Dutch customers and as of 1997 I have served US customers.
How do you differentiate yourself from other businesses in your category and area?
Our firm is in essence a small boutique shop. All our team members are Service Management consultants and trainers with a long track-record in this particular part of the IT industry. Not too many competitors incorporate this real life experience into their services and solutions. Besides the overwhelming experience we have been in business much longer than any of any US competitors. Our customers benefit from this through wealth of in-house knowledge that we have by shorter consulting engagement cycles and a lot more takeaways from any ITIL and ISO 20000 certification training course that we offer.
How many locations do you have and do you have plans to expand?
We are headquartered in Phoenix, AZ. Our team members live in every time zone of the US and when not on the road they all work from home. We anticipate expanding geographically through partnerships. We strongly believe that the local aspects of any market can best be addressed by those who have lived and breathed it throughout their business lifespan.

Due to the nature of our business, we come to you. We do onsite consulting and training, as well as organize certification training in 30+ cities throughout the US.
What type of payments do you accept?
Our online shopping cart, as well as for training we accpet all major credit cards. A consulting engagement is typically paid for through checks and direct funds transfers.
Which areas do you service?
Our geographical area covers the US and Canada. Sometimes our customers require us to help their offices in other parts of the world.
Who owns your company or runs daily operations?
Mart Rovers, President of InterProm USA, owns the majority of the company. The remainder is owned by some of our team members. Every team member can become an owner.
What are your hours of operation?
whenever the customer needs us, we are 'open' for business. When a customer wants us to, we provide training courses during the weekend. In general we help our customers Monday through Friday.
